Dr. Rimpa Basu Achari, has been trained in radiation oncology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute Of Medical Sciences, (SGPGI) Lucknow. She completed her MD in 2001 and was working as Senior Registrar in SGPGI, Lucknow till 2003.She then worked in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai under Dr. Ketayun Dinshaw till 2007. She is currently working in RUBY HALL, PUNE as a Radiation oncologist. She is the only radiation oncologist in Pune to have experience in image guided radiotherapy and brachytherapy.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Worked extensively on the treatment policies, radiation therapy planning of all malignancies.
Worked with equipments as: conventional simulator, CT simulator, Three dimensional treatment planning systems for radiation planning.
With high energy linear accelerators and electron delivery systems, functioning cobalt units
Trained for delivery of 3D Conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT), Intensity modulated radiotherapy ( IMRT), Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) and Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
